Some World War II veterans received public recognition, Friday. At the Moose Lodge in Mitchell, the state of South Dakota and Davison County presented sixteen area veterans with a World War II memorial coin and special certificate for their serivce. One of those veterans is E.J. Delancey.
"I thoght it was good to be recognized as a WWII veteran because we are slowly disappearing. It was a nice day of appreciation," E.J. Delancey said.
He plans to give the special coin to his daughter saying he knows she's pretty proud of him as a veteran, and more importantly, a dad.
