PIERRE, S.D. - A state prison inmate has been placed on escape status after failing to return from her work release jobsite.
Inmate Destiny Wilson, age 28, left the Pierre Community Work Center Saturday to go to her work release job, but failed to return to the work center following her shift.
Wilson is a white female. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Wilson is serving three concurrent four-year, 8 month sentences for possession of a controlled substance from Lawrence, Meade and Pennington Counties and a 1 year, 8 month sentence for grand theft out of Pennington County.
Officials with the Department of Corrections are urging people to contact law enforcement immediately if they see Wilson or know of her whereabouts.
