The South Dakota State Fair is marking a major milestone with one of the biggest acts to ever perform at the event.
Toby Keith will perform at the 2018 State Fair to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the State Fair grandstands.
The country music megastar will perform Friday, August 31 as part of his "Should've Been a Cowboy" Tour.
State Fair organizers say pre-sale on tickets will begin June 4 for backrest holders followed by Friends of the Fair ticket sales on June 7. General public ticket sales will begin June 11.
Keith is not the only act announced for this year's Fair. Foreigner and Night Ranger will take the stage at the grandstand on Saturday, September 1.
The 2018 South Dakota State Fair will run from Thursday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 3. Preview night will be Wednesday, Aug. 29. This year’s theme is “Experience the Magic.” For more information on State Fair events, contact the Fair office at 800-529-0900, visit www.sdstatefair.com or find them on Facebook or Twitter.
