(KSFY) - President Trump is joining 41 states, two U.S. territories and the District of Columbia in support of South Dakota's effort to bring tax fairness to the states.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley made the announcement Wednesday.
He will present the case to the U.S. Supreme court next month.
In 2016, South Dakota passed a law that would require out-of-state retailers to be treated the same as in-state retailers when it comes to state tax.
The state attorney general's office has filed a petition asking the Supreme Court to review the case.
