It's so easy to set in a chair not understanding the problem and make stupid statements. So many Boardmembers really need to understand what the people are going through.

I was just there today and was in line for 3 1/2 hours. If they close at 5pm, a person should make sure they are in line by 1pm. I had to take vacation time from work! I know Pam is trying to fight for what it was right, but being too verbal may not be a good career move. What needs to be done is they need to go back to the old system until all the gliches are fixed and more training is given to the employee's. I wonder if lines are slow because employee's don't get the new system.

I think they should have that open all the time for renewals.

Let Anne Hajek go down there and work with the people that have to wait in line for hours with this joke of a system that the State of South Dakota has stuck us with.

Sounds like Nelson said no the band-aid approach offered by Rounds. Wonder how Pennington County is making out.

Maybe Hajek could help out by taking a shift at a window. Same for Twedt. I bet the salaries of our part-time Commissioners like Hajek and Twedt are comparable to the hourly wages paid to employees of the Treasurer's office for 40 plus a week.

Has Anne Hajek or any other commissioner been down to long lines and talked to people to see what is really going on? Or is just too easy to spout off their comments from their chairs without being on the front lines?

and the people need to understand that it is the COMPUTER SYSTEM that is slow, not the employees of the treasurer's office. they have been trained but they--themselves--cannot do anything to improve the speed of the system. technology switches take time to work out, just be patient citizens, im sure the employees would welcome that.
