Initiative 10 Explained

By Brian Allen

One of the issues South Dakotans will vote on this November is called Initiative 10.

Those who support the idea say it will make state government more open and transparent by curtailing the lobbying activities of groups and individuals who receive salaries or other payments from government funds.

Opponents say Initiative 10 is too broad in scope, that it will silence the voices and curtail the political activities of thousands of South Dakotans.

Oh this is a great opportunity for South Dakotans tired of special interests!!! We can finally give those lobbyists a boot out of our state government. I'm voting yes on this one
