In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report; another break-in has Sioux Falls Police working to catch a tool thief: they're also trying to stay one step ahead of holiday shoplifters.

Sioux Falls' series of burglaries continues:

Yesterday, a break-in was reported at this building in the 13-hundred block of West 11th Street: 800 dollars in tools were reported stolen by the owner.

Sioux Falls Police are also cautioning businesses about shoplifters.

At least eight cases have been reported in the last two days:

Popular targets include the east side and central Wal-Mart Supercenters.

A two man shoplifting team targeted the Gas Stop at 1200 East 10th Street. According to Sioux Falls Police Lieutenant Mark Jensen tells us, store officials didn't realize they had been hit until after it happened. "The manager of the Gas Stop was reviewing some videotape of the inside of the store and as he was doing so he observed two subjects taking merchandise without paying for that, including two cartons of cigarettes, a disposable camera and several small toys."
