In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report, a death investigation continues in Brookings while in Sioux Falls, the weather leads to a series of crimes....and someone out there is looking to ruin the holiday season for some homeowners.

South Dakota's Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting Brookings Police in looking into the death of 71 year old Keith Mohror, whose body was found at his rural Brookings home Sunday.

While foul play is not suspect, authorities say there are some questions they want answered before they close the case.

The weekends icy weather led to weather related crimes in Sioux Falls: ten separate cases of hit and run accidents were reported in the city.

Also holiday related, nine cases of shoplifting have been reported over the last several days.

Holiday grinches are doing their best to ruin the season by destroying holiday decorations. Officer Loren McManus with Sioux Falls Police tells us; "Large inflatable globes and snowmen took quite a beating over the weekend. We had four incidents; South Roel, South Roosevelt, East Harriett and South Bahnson were all four cases where they had the inflatable snowmen or the inflatable X-Mas decorations had obviously been cut and deflated."
