Cars Parked In Central Sioux Falls Neighborhoods Are The Targets Of Vandalism.

By Brian Allen

In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report, Sioux Falls Police are looking into nearly five dozen cases of car vandalism tonight, while in Fort Pierre, they're trying to crack down on a dangerous situation.

Over the past week, nearly 60 cars have been targeted by someone with either a BB or pellet gun.

With windows and windshields splintered and shattered as a result.

In most every case, the target areas are neighborhoods located in central Sioux Falls.

In Aberdeen, police are looking into two cases of damage to private property: in one of the cases a car was targeted.

Those incidents happened in the 38-hundred block of Seventh Avenue Southeast and the 600 block of South Merton Street.

And if you're headed to Pierre anytime soon, watch your speed.

Stanley County Sheriff's Deputies are staking out Fort Pierre with a new speed gun, designed to stop drivers with a lead foot.

As always, we invite area law enforcement looking for the public's help in solving a crime to e-mail us at ballen@ksfy.com to be included in our "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report.
