A Sioux Falls Homeowner Found Out The Hard Way He Couldn't Trust His Friends To Watch His House.

By Brian Allen

In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report, a warning tonight from Sioux Falls Police: pick your friends carefully.

And a theft is under investigation tonight on a South Dakota college campus.

Who can you trust?

A man who lives at a home in the 12-hundred block of East 68th Street North allowed two friends to stay at his home while he was out of state.

Sioux Falls Police Detective Sean Kooistra says he came back to find nearly everything gone. "Including 3 TV's, a DVD player, computers, it sounds like they pretty much wiped out his residence. a washer and dryer which takes up 1-thousand dollars according to his report."

The final tally from the friendly heist: 15-thousand dollars.

Sioux Falls Police continue looking for the woman who robbed the East 12th "Shop N Cart" Monday night.

Police describe her as a white female, about 20 years old, five-foot-three and 120 pounds.

A thief is at work on the campus of Mount Marty College in Yankton.

A woman's car was broken into Monday on campus:

Stolen were the woman's CD player and some electronic tools.

And good news from Mitchell, where police conducted an alcohol compliance check of eight stores and all eight passed: none sold to minors.

The way things are today you can't trust your friends or family because they turn on on to. I feel sorry for this guy you think you chose good friends then you get stabbed in the back pretty sick if you ask me. These kind of friends should be locked up for life because he won't get none of his stuff back. Plus when he goes to court if they are anything like MN. we are still waiting for our money from 3 years ago when our friend robbed us. It sucks believe man I know what you are going through.

I go to school at Mount Marty and I am disappointed that the college did not inform the students of the breakin and encourage them to check their cars....
