In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report:

Sioux Falls Police investigate another case of reported road rage.

In Aberdeen, 14 cases of intentional damage to property in just the last 7 days.

But we begin in Sioux Falls where vandals are again at work, targeting cars over the weekend, shooting out windows with a BB gun.

Five cars in total in roughly the same area:

3 on South Willow Avenue...in the 700, 1-thousand and 13-hundred blocks.. and 2 on South Lake Avenue...in the 16-hundred and 19-hundred blocks.

No suspects at this time.

Another case of road rage:

This time two motorists traveling on East 10th street got upset with each other and pulled into an adjacent parking lot. one was a 39 year old woman, the other a 16 year old boy. Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Loren McManus tells KSFY; "They ended up being out in the parking lot at the same time and the 16 year old pulled a pocketknife because he felt threatened by the actions of those two individuals in the other vehicle."

This incident remains under investigation tonight.

In Aberdeen, 14 cases of damaged property reported in just the last 7 days:

The latest incident reported in the 400 block of North Boyd Street.

An Aberdeen police detective tells me this afternoon, property damage crimes are hard to investigate because they're often crimes of opportunity; the suspect is long gone by the time anyone knows.
