Thieves Target Cars In Central Sioux Falls.

By Brian Allen

In tonight's "Burglaries & Break-Ins" report;

Car and home burglaries in Sioux Falls:

While someone is targeting rural businesses in Minnesota:

And an update on a drunk driving investigation in Aberdeen.

Make sure your car is parked in a safe place:

Sioux Falls Police say a car parked near the intersection of West 9th and North Garfield was broken into Tuesday with some items stolen from inside:

In another case, someone broke into this home in the 44-hundred block of West Briggs and stole a fairly large DVD collection.

Burglary investigations are also underway in rural areas:

Nobles County, Minnesota detectives are working to find who broke into a business in the 27-thousand-200 block of 310th street in Bigelow. A man's wallet and cell phone were stolen.

In Aberdeen, a partnership between the public and police over drunk driving continues: over the last 7 days the department has received 11 reports of suspected drunk driving from the public.

A Nobles County, Minnesota deputy tells me tonight in some burglary cases, the victim knows the items stolen won't be recovered, but files a police report anyway. In most cases, if the item was insured the victim can get a replacement.
