"Burglaries & Break-Ins" For April 2nd, 2008

There are some new clues investigators are looking at which may lead them to the Redfield bank robber.

By Brian Allen

Sioux Falls Police are looking into a series of home burglaries which occurred over the last day and a half:

While the search continues tonight for the man who robbed a Redfield bank last Friday.

Spink County authorities say since last friday's "Bank Of The West" robbery in Redfield, there have been two possible sightings of the suspect in communities outside the county, though investigators will not reveal the names of those towns.

Though the suspect had facial hair at the time of the robbery, it's believed the suspect broke into a neighboring home and shaved it off. A possible fingerprint left at that home is being analyzed at the state crime lab in Pierre.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-foot-1, weighing about 300 pounds with blondish-brown hair.

Bank security video may be released soon to help in the suspect search.

Sioux Falls Police are looking into two home burglaries which occured over the last day and a half.

One at a home in the 26-hundred of East 12th Street near Interstate 2-29..

The other in the 600 block of North Garfield Circle:

And rural residences be on the look out for suspicious characters:

Someone broke into a farm home in Turkey Valley Township northwest of Irene on Monday and stole a credit card, racking up a 5-thousand dollar bill.
