Someone in Sioux Falls is hitting the jackpot by breaking the law.

A warning tonight about door to door magazine sales, police hope for a lead in a video lottery burglary and a South Dakota city put it's own law on the books to make prostitution illegal.

A warning from Sioux Falls Police about a magazine sales pitch you might want to avoid. Officer Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department tells KSFY; "Most of the time with magazine subscriptions they're selling it to the person or the resident in this case it sounds like the magazines were gonna go overseas."

Overseas to an anonymous American soldier: The reason police are suspect about this operation: those doing the selling don't have the proper license to do so.

Two men trying to sell magazines in the 400 block of Ruth Street in Yankton prompted residents to call police: one of them was taken into the custody: he was a runaway.

Video lottery machines provided a tempting targeted for thieves in Sioux Falls: on June 29th, someone broke into the Silver Moon Bar on East Falls Park Drive, pried several video lottery machines open and took the money inside.

Two teens, a 16 and 17 year old, are in custody tonight in Pierre:

Police think the pair are responsible for stealing a car, several bikes, a gun and for burglarizing the Highmore Golf Course.

And on Monday in Aberdeen, the city council decided to put a city law on the books making prostitution illegal: a state law already outlawed the crime, but Hub City leaders wanted to reinforce it with a city ordinance.
