The children who live and go to school at the Children's Home Society in Sioux Falls gave up their lunchroom Tuesday, so all of us could talk about an exciting plan that will benefit them. "KSFY is embedded in helping out charities in this community and helping out anywhere we can and this is the perfect one to help," said KSFY General Manager Kelly Manning.

Everyone at the luncheon is involved in one way or another in the KSFY & Creative Building Corporation Charity House. We officially broke ground in October. It's located in the Grand Prairie Development off 77th Street on the south end of Prairie Green Golf Course.

The 55-hundred square foot house will be loaded with luxurious amenities like heated stone floors and 2 totally separate garages. When it's done you'll be able to tour the 2 story house for five bucks. Then we'll sell it to the highest bidder.

All of the money goes to the Children's Home Society, a charity the contractor, Troy Stallings, has helped for the last decade.

"This project is exciting," said Stallings. "You've seen the plans we are anxious to get going...weather permitting. We are looking at all the financing packages being close to being done so we'll be able to kick this off soon."

"I tell you what," said Manning. "Once this thing gets rolling, everyone is going to be happy they were a part of it and we are going to do everything we can to make it happen."

Children's Home Society provides a home school and therapy for children primarily ages 4 to 13 who often times have a history of abuse or neglect.
