One thing to remember when the elderly commit crimes, they sometimes suffer from PTSD and often have dimentia. I have met many elderly men that still seem to live in a different era. Often thinking the "john wayne" approach solves everything. This man was born in 1930's. Alot of the judice system has evolved since then! It's hard for the elderly to keep up! Many are still confused with cell phones! Hence the jitter-bug!
