Dylan Romero was stopped on Hwy 20 about 6 miles east of Isabel, SD for speeding. During the investigation it was determined that he had no drivers license and five (5) active warrants out of Pennington County.

Romero and his passenger whom also had an active warrant, were transported to the Dewey County Sheriffs office where Romero produced $2,040.00 in cash for the bond on the warrants. Detecting an odor of marajuana on the currency, it was confiscated and during an inventory search of the vehicle over one pound of marijuana was confiscated along with a scale and other paraphernalia.

Romero was held in the Walworth County jail in Selby and was interviewed by the Northern Plains Drug Task Force, whom the case was turned over to for farther investigation.

Romero later made bond and failed to appear for his court hearing that was scheduled for February 19th, 2008. Bench warrant was issued on the 3rd day of march with bond set in the amount of $10,000.00.
