Yes!!...but believe it or not only about 30% of us actually have a will. A will is simply a document that states how and to whom your wish your property to go, after you pass away.A living will is not a will. it is really document that allows you to decide now, the extent of life sustaining treatment you wish to receive if you become terminally ill.A living will is a good document to have on hand because it allows you to make the decision instead of your immediate family.

What happens if you don't have a will and you pass away?

No will = no good. The state that you live in has their own laws to determine what happens to your estate. If you have minor children, the state will decide who will raise them

Aaron, what should we watch out for?

1. Find out ahead of time how much it will cost for an attorney to draw up a will, the average cost should be around $450

2. Don't be pressured to sign a commitment letter that says you will pay a certain amount, no matter what, there should not be any pressure.

3. If you don't know any attorneys in town, ask your friends if they have used anyone.
