If you are thinking about taking your next vacation, you will probably notice that there are a lot of options out there for you and some can be very expensive. Financial expert Aaron Maguire has some good tips on what you should do before you book your next vacation.
1) If you are on a budget think Cheap
· Figure out what you want to do first…like go on a cruise…sit on a beach…leave the country…go to an amusement park, then you can look for the least expensive spots.
· Think about going off season to your desired location…you can often times save a lot of money by going to say Florida in the summer time instead of the winter time, for example.
· Look for a place that has a kitchen…you can cook a few of your meals to save some money.

· Consider alternate, regional, low fare airports…Allegiant Airlines offers great rates for Sioux Falls travelers. You have to travel Florida, Las Vegas, or Phoenix, AZ and only on certain dates.
· Look at internet sites for the best deals…www.expedia.com, www.orbitz.com, www.priceline.com…they will offer discounted rates on hotels, car rentals, and airfare.
· Look at the specific airline's website…they often offer air and hotel packages · Try to be flexible on your travel dates

· The most common travel insurance is offered as a package…which covers just about everything that could go wrong on a trip.
· The cost is about 4% to 8% of the cost of your trip and is sold on a per-trip basis.
· They now have a "cancel for any reason" clause that available…for about 40% of your base premium, customers will be reimbursed for 50% to 75% of the cost of the trip if they cancel up to 48 hours before departure.
