South Dakota Virtual High School

By Leslie Rupiper

This is the time of year when students are registering for fall 2008 classes. Others might need to do credit recovery work during the summer months. The South Dakota Virtual High School offers opportunities for students facing both cases. Through technology, South Dakota students can take a variety of courses on their own time, aught by qualified teachers. Melody Schopp with the South Dakota Department of Education says, "The Virtual High School's open at this point and time for registration, as well so that schools can be looking at ways to fill needs that they might not be able to do with their current curriculum.

The Virtual High School has been officially up and running for about a year. You can visit the site, and learn more about it by clicking here.
