Globe University Hosts Ribbon-Cutting

By Leslie Rupiper

Those seeking higher education in the Sioux Falls community have a new option. Globe University is at 5101 South Broadband Lane, just off of West 57th street. Today, school leaders held an official ribbon-cutting.

The school has been in Sioux Falls for more than 2 years, but moved to the larger location last fall. Globe University offers a variety of programs: from business courses to massage therapy. A large portion of the campus is devoted to the Veterinary Technician Department. Resident Veterinarian Dr. Jim Hanson says, "You can get the book smarts anywhere, you can get the technology anywhere, but this is a hands-on facility. We actually have essentially a small clinic-like facility here."

Globe University offers 2 to 4 year Bachelor degrees, and a Master's program.
