By Brian Allen KSFY

Our KSFY-Touchstone Energy Scholar of The Week is Tanner Suess from Scotland High School.
Tanner is involved in about every extra curricular activity at school which is impressive given the classes he is taking.

Tanner Suess is comfortable in the classroom.
And that's saying something because Tanner is taking some tough classes this year.
For example, one of the classes which takes up a lot of his time is advanced placement Calculus. "You get a lot of homework in that. You get like a week to do it but it still takes you 3 to 4 hours."

3 to 4 hours can be tough to find for Tanner.
In between classes, tanner plays football, he wrestles and is involved in rodeo. He's also in speech and a member of the National Honor Society and it's that last honor that comes as no surprise to Tanner's science teacher Kevin Janish. "Tanner is one of those kids that's not afraid to take a challening schedule. He takes AP Calc, he takes Physics along with government and english and so on."

Tanner's got a good work ethic but he says he's learned from upperclassmen along the way....to always give it your best. "Pushing me in my studies to make me better so I want to thank them for everything."

For being named our Scholar of The Week, Tanner will receive a $100 scholarship from Bon Homme Yankton Electric Association, a local Touchstone Energy cooperative.
