SIOUX FALLS - KSFY-TV has an incredible opportunity for high school students ages 14-17 who are interested in pursuing a professional career in Broadcast Journalism.
KSFY News is sponsoring its free Media Camp in June, with the help from our friends at the Washington Pavilion! Campers will learn a little bit of everything from how to use a camera, producing a news story and delivering it on the air. Some of the work will even be featured on KSFY News!
"We love the opportunity to bring something new and unique to our students. We have a lot of students at the Pavilion during summer camp. This will be something totally new and totally different for them. Just a real high-quality experience for them to see the side of broadcast which involves some of the arts in terms of performance and writing. It'll be a new interesting spin, delivered by the experts. We're thrilled!" Community Learning Center Director Rose Ann Hofland said.
The week-long camp will run June 20-24, 2016. Teens between the ages of 14 and 17 are encouraged to apply.
Deadline for applications has been extended to Friday, May 13.
