Within the last week, there has been a considerable amount of progress at the new KSFY Television station as crews continue construction ahead of a mid-October launch.
"We're really excited, things are really coming along well," President and General Manager Jim Berman says.
In the newsroom, employees and guests will see a lot of HD monitors in once the construction is complete. Many of the cut-outs are already taking shape on both the first and second floors. This will allow the team members and managers to monitor signals from ABC, CNN and our sister networks like The CW and MeTV.
Every week, we're seeing a little bit more. Drywall, plywood, pipes and insulation are being installed. In addition, heating/AC ducts are now in place in the middle of the newsroom.
"The newsroom will be a wide open space. It'll be a really great look and feel. A newsroom that will have a lot of activity going in it. Monitors will reflect a certain energy of this newsroom which will be great," Berman said. "We're actually ahead of schedule with the way things are going."
