Washington Pavilion President to retire

SIOUX FALLS - A man who has served in a leadership position with the Washington Pavilion for several years is stepping down.

President Scott Peterson will retire in May. Washington Pavilion officials made the announcement Wednesday morning.

Peterson served as co-President with Larry Toll since September 2013, then took over as President once Toll retired last November.

“When Scott came to the Pavilion after his retirement from LodgeNet Interactive in 2012, it was to fill a co-President role,” said Angie Haft, Chair of the Pavilion’s Board of Trustees. “He was interested in working part time, sharing the President position with Larry. With Larry’s departure Scott has found that the job is, not surprisingly, quite a bit more than part time. This has greatly reduced his ability to travel, spend time with family and enjoy his retirement.”

The Board of Trustees is asking the public to submit individuals in the Sioux Falls area who may be interested in a leadership position with the Washington Pavilion to email boardchair@washingtonpavilion.org.
