European DesignEuropean influence has always dominated floral design in the United States. US floral designers have certainly put a unique twist on the style however, now more than ever we have been able to use European style and adapt it to our customers. Hand-tied bouquets are easily recognizable with a distinct European influence. Flowers of similar origin or same kind flowers arranged in a vase with foliage and accents have dominated the European flower market. Our reflection of that style is the base for many of our designs here. The wild flower look, if you will, is very popular and is found in all aspects of the fresh flower industry. You should place your fresh vased flower arrangements in a solution of Fresh Flower Food mixed in the proper proportions. Always be aware that foliage in the holding solution with shortens the vase life of your fresh flowers. The bacterium that results smells bad and looks worse. Be certain that you re-cut the ends of your fresh flowers about every three days, so they can continue to absorb the Fresh Flower Food solution. Avoid placing your design in direct sunlight, on heat producing appliances or in a cold or hot draft. Keep excitement in your life with gifts of fresh flowers. By Patrick M.
