Flowers Make You HappyAccording to a study conducted at Rutgers University for the Society of American Florists (SAF) flowers make people happier. This same research shows that flowers have a positive impact on emotional health. Flowers make you happier. Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. Study participants expressed “true” or “excited” smiles upon receiving flowers. Flowers have a long-term positive effect on moods. Study participants reported feeling less depressed, anxious or agitated after receiving flowers – and they demonstrated a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction. Flowers make intimate connections. The presence of flowers led to increased contact with family and friends.
