Lucky Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo is the perfect addition in modern floral designs.
It lives for years in water and low light.
It serves to enhance Feng Shui or the flow of “CHI” positive energy force, In ALL your life.

The plants themselves represent longevity, as they do live a very long time.

Lucky Bamboo is not part of the actual bamboo family, but is a close relative of the lily family (Dracaena).

The curly cues of Lucky Bamboo are specially trained. When they were young they were left in a greenhouse with only a small ray of light. The plant naturally grows towards the light. They grow very slowly; it takes about 1.5 years to grow each curl.

Direct sunlight kills the lucky bamboo so it should never be placed in the sun.

The roots should be covered at all times with water. Please never use tap water, as it contains chlorine, which will poison the plant and kill it. Some options could be rainwater, thawed snow, and bottled, filtered, purified or distilled waters.

Water should be changed at least once a month or whenever it is dirty.

Add water to the plant once or twice per week, bigger vases require more water.

It is optional to trim the leaves & roots.

You do not have to transplant these plants.

If part of the plant turns yellow it should be cut off to prevent it spreading to the rest of the plant.

Fertilizers could be used at this time. One or tow drops in the container per week is all that is needed.
