Cheddar Herb Biscuits

3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup white flour
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1 Tbs baking powder
1 Tbs sugar
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 400. Melt butter and pour into a 8 by 8 inch pan.
Combine flours, baking powder, sugar, herbs, pepper, and cheese. Stir in milk just until moist. Turn dough out onto a floured surface.
Lightly knead until smooth. Roll dough out into a 12x6 rectangle. Cut into 12 strips. Dip each strip into butter and fold each strip in half. Place all folded strips into the same pan. Bake for 23-28 minutes.
