Fried Okra

Tools

Fried Okra

1 lb fresh okra
1/4 cup corn meal
1/8 cup cooking oil (I use extra virgin olive oil)
Salt and pepper to taste

Wash and cut off stems from okra. Place in tupperware bowl with corn meal and seasoning, put on lid and shake to coat the okra.
Heat skillet with oil until hot, add okra and let it get get crisp, turn with spatula and crisp on other side. Serve imediately. Make it your last prep for your meal.

This recipee is so simple but requires a little practice . My Father once told my Mother Fried Okra is the best food he has ever eaten. I grew up with two sisters, and when my Mom cooked fried okra there was never any leftovers, ever.
