Canistota is in the southeast part of South Dakota, in McCook County. Although it's a small town with a population of about 700, it has a rich history.

In fact, the city will be celebrating it's 125th anniversary soon. Newly elected Mayor Don Kom joined KSFY Live In The Morning anchors Chris Studer and Valerie Gutierrez in the studio to talk about what's happening in the city including the upcoming Sports Day (July 10-13th)
