Minnehaha County's Most Wanted

By Drew Sandholm

They're on the run from the law. Men and women wanted for a number of crimes. They are Minnehaha County's Most Wanted and authorities need your help to catch them.

Authorities arrested Curtis Emery Christensen in October of 2006 for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, but he never showed up for his court date. Christensen has no address, no job, no social security number, which makes him hard to find. Minnehaha County Sheriff's sgt. Jason Gearman said, "We're looking for public help. Maybe somebody's seen him or know of his whereabouts. You know, we're just at a loss and we can't find him."

Then there's Columbus Coffer. He's wanted for felony failure to appear and possession of a controlled drug.

Ranson Favors is also on the run from the law. He's wanted for first degree robbery.

Authorities arrested Alan Hall for possession of methamphetamine. A judge later suspended his sentence and put him on probation, but Hall violated his probation and has been on the run ever since. His last known address was in Colton. Sgt. Gearman said, "Deputies have been out there and he's no longer at that address, so basically again we're looking for any information on Mister Hall, as to his whereabouts."

Authorities are also looking for Sheila Hawking, who is wanted for two counts of failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance.

Allison Ishmael is wanted for violation on terms of a suspended sentence for possession of a controlled substance.

The last individual has been on the Most Wanted list for a long time. Convicted of grand theft, Michael McAfee was assigned to then minimum security unit located west of Sioux Falls called the West Farm. At the working farm, McAfee maintained many vehicles and in doing so, had keys to several of them. On May 18, 1999, a guard realized that McAfee and a state vehicle were missing.

"We believe that Mister McAfee left the farm in that state vehicle; drove to Omaha, Nebraska, where the vehicle was recovered several days later, found in a bus station parking lot," said warden Doug Weber from the South Dakota Department of Corrections.

McAfee hasn't been seen or heard from since. Gearman says McAfee has ties across the country, but is confidant they'll catch him. He said, "You know, somebody knows what happened to him. We just have to find that someone who's willing to talk to us and say 'Yeah, this is what happened to him."

Anyone with information about any of these individuals, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-367-7007. Calls are confidential.
