Sioux Falls schools recently banned cell phones inside their walls. Now a Texas school is banning even parents from using cell phones in school zones.

The city of West University Place, TX hopes banning cell phone use in school zones will cut down the number of distracted drivers. The ban also covers hands free calls.

The fines will be stiff, First offenders will receive a 200 dollar ticket. Repeat violators could get fined up to 500 dollars.
