Authorities in Huron say they've busted a major drug operation in town.  According to Beadle County Deputy State's Attorney, Jeff Banks, on Monday evening members of the DCI, Huron police, Beadle County Sheriff's Department, and Sanborn County Sheriff's department executed search warrants on two apartments across the street from the Huron High School.  Officers located about 7 ounces of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.  Twelve people, including two juveniles were arrested.

Arrested were:

Kyle Eric Bult - Huron
Ernest Fields Jr. - Huron
Kunta Darrell Miles - Detroit
Demarco Sheadrick - Detroit
Michael Thoms - Duluth
Leon Wiggins - Huron
Andrea Dorena Waldner - Huron
Jessica Payne - Huron
Amelia Wipf - Huron
Juron Mallett - Huron. 

The names of the juveniles were not released.

Charges include but are not limited to:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance - cocaine (Class 4 Felony)
• Possession or Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone (Class 4 Felony with a minimum mandatory sentence of 5 years in the penitentiary)
• Keeping a Place for the Sale or use of a controlled substance; (Class 5 Felony)
• Possession of 2 ounces of less of marijuana (Class 1 misdemeanor)
• Possession of one ounce or less of marijuana with Intent to Distribute (Class 6 Felony).

The suspects will be in court later this month.
