Former Mitchell teacher, Andrew Tate has been found Guilty of Battering former student, Brittany Plamp. The Mitchell School District has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Jurors returned the verdict just after noon today.

Brittany Plamp says teacher Andrew Tate sexually harassed her, and had sued him and the school district.

The jury got the case yesterday. Deliberations were halted this morning because of a dictionary. Yesterday, jurors had asked a judge to provide them with a dictionary to clarify a phrase. Their request was denied, and they were told to refer back to the judge's instructions to the jury following closing arguments. However, one of the jurors brought a dictionary to deliberations this morning. It was confiscated and deliberations were halted. It didn't take long after deliberations resumed to reach a verdict.

Tate is accused of sexual impropriety against former student, Brittany Plamp. Plamp is suing the school because she says the district knew about alleged past complaints about Tate and failed to act. She's asking for 750-thousand dollars for her pain and suffering.

I am just appauled at how some of you "adults" are talking about a young girl. Telling her to grow up and get over it. Are you serious? What if something traumatic happened in your life and you were treated this way all because you asked for help!? This is one of the main reasons I don't write blogs. What a can of worms opened here. I haave to let kids everyweek because of no respect they don't have to have it in school. The kids run the school and the court system. When they get out of school they have shock cause people like me expect them to be on time and work. I don't think they have to be abusedin school by anyone, but a wake-up call is in order to kids. I hope that whoever is on this jury has the foresight to see what problems giving this girl money will cause for the the state and the nation. She needs to grow up and get over it like everyone else that has been in the same situation, we never asked for money and did not think we needed to be paid for it either.
