Heath Styer has been missing for thirteen years and authorities had little to go on, until they found his car in Lake Ravine and pulled it out of 12 feet of water.

Police say it may be awhile before they can determine if Heath was in the car.

Heath Styer's memorial continues to grow, flowers and balloons mark the spot where Investigators pulled his car out of Lake Ravine.  Family members say they are grateful for closure.

"At least knowing that's where the car is and hopefully he's there," says Heath's Aunt, Krista Tompkins.

Investigators say they have not determined whether Heath is in the car but family members say Heath's mom always thought Heath ended up in Lake Ravine.

"She knew in her heart he was in that water. Every year on his birthday she and his brothers and sisters would go down there and put flowers in that exact spot."

Balloons and police tape mark the area today signifying an ongoing investigation but also relief.

The Chief of Police says when they pulled the car out of Lake Ravine the back windshield was completely gone.  There may still be evidence in the lake and the investigation is continuing.

I am also someone who knew the Styer family, when they lived in Hot Springs. I was shocked and disheartened to hear the news, but I am glad there is finally closure.

Im an old Hot Springs family friend. I just wanted the family to know that we are thinking of them. I am happy the family finally get some real closure in their lives..but to have it end in this way is a horrible thing. I would like Cheryl, Jason, Michelle and the rest of the family to know Heath's old friends from Hot Springs are truely thinking of him/them and really missing him. A mother always knows and always trust a mothers gut instinct about her children.

to classmate...in the paper Cheryl said a mother just knows, and she was right. Her never giving up on her wonderful son, made it possible for his car to be found. Obviously the police nor the family can say if he was in the car or not, due to investigations. I just want to say does it make you people that leave poor comments sleep better at night? Tammy is right, take this time to embrace, not have so much hate that you force it on the rest of us. God bless you Heath

W.O.W. Here I was hoping that people could use this tragedy to come together, not to pick fights and make nasty comments. heath was a good human being and deserves better. thanks to those sending their thoughts and prayers. to the others that have only negative things to say: stop talking trash. please and thank you.

Have NO clue what this lesbian talk is about; OUR class would like to know what happened to Heath! How could Heath's car mysteriously end up in 12 feet of water?? Why is it that his family "felt" that he was in that lake?

My comment couldnt be posted either, I hope that if the family reads this trash, they can look past the idiots that are so narrow minded that they talk out of their butts. I hope the Styer family can somehow find comfort and peace after all this time.

I remember Ravine being drained for development at some point, and I believe it was after he went missing. I also vaguely remember hearing reports of some people seeing a car, why wasn't it investigated further then? In the end, I am grateful the family finally has some closure.
