Fugitive from Texas Arrested in Tea

A man who was featured on America's Most Wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child was arrested this morning at a construction site in Tea.

Authorities say 37-year-old Preston Hightower told people his name was Johnny Key. He had been working as a roofer at a construction site in Tea, and living in Centerville.

Hightower was convicted on July 25th and sentenced to sixty years in prison in Grayson County, Texas. Officials say Hightower fled during the sentencing process and escaped to South Dakota. He was apprehended this morning by officers of the US Marshall Service and Minnehaha County Violent Offender Task Force.

Hightower is being held in the Minnehaha County Jail pending extradition.

Good point, Anonymous. More pervs we do NOT need. Another news source reported that he was working for a Tea contractor. Doesn't the contractor do background checks? Isn't a social security number required for the guy to get a paycheck?
