House Fire in Aberdeen

By KSFY News

A home at 1837 Eisenhower Circle in Aberdeen was destroyed by fire today.

The owners of the home, Sandy and Darla Nelson, weren't home when the fire started at about 12:30 today.  They arrived to find their house in ruins.  The fire started on the south side of the home and it was fully engulfed in flames when the Aberdeen Fire Department arrived.  Wind gusts of up to30 miles per hour helped the flames spread rapidly.  The fire lasted for about 45 minutes.

Several neighbors called the fire department after seeing the flames.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire was much longer than 45 minutes. I was there for 1.5 hours and could still see flames when I left. The house is completely destroyed - there's nothing left. The poor family had just finished remodeling their basement. It's so sad.
