School Zone in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls Police will be stepping up School Zone enforcement next week in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls police announce the results of their school zone enforcement week.  Officers worked school zones before and after school throughout Sioux Falls. 

The number of school zone citations issued:  117

Special project speeding citations:  356

Seatbelt citations:  132

Police say the highest speeding citation issued for the week was 83mph in a 30mph zone on Thursday afternoon on the 11th Street viaduct.  That driver was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving.  There was also a driver arrested for DWI on Friday morning at 8am in a school zone.
