Rounds Calls Palin "One of Us"

Governor Mike Rounds believes South Dakotans will be impressed with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Rounds, a member of the South Dakota delegation at the Republican National Convention, has worked with the Alaska governor at meetings of the Western Governors and Republican Governors associations.  Palin was in Deadwood last summer for a WGA meeting.  Rounds says Palin has strong leadership abilities, and he describes her as "one of us."

Rounds hopes Palin and Republican presidential candidate John McCain will visit South Dakota this fall.  McCain was in the state last month for an appearance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
