Down Syndrome Buddy Walk

A group of people got together to walk for down syndrome awareness Saturday.

The annual Buddy Walk, ended with a party at Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls.

The Buddy Walk is one of 275 events across the country designed to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with down syndrome.

The event featured an inflatable playground and a picnic for everyone involved.

Last year alone, the national campaign raised more than $9.5 million to support local and national programs for people with down syndrome.

I absolutely agree! The video could have been so much better! There was a shot of the backs of people? What was that about? They didnt even get a shot of the walk. Why even do a story if its done so poorly?

This short news story on Down syndrome didn't seem to do the event on Oct. 4th any justice of what really happens for this day to be possible for those who are affected by this condition. Not one parent, child, sponser, or event cordinator was interviewed. If you didn't have any sound to this story you wouldn't have a clue as to what was really going on! Let's do better next year!
