Despite the slow economy, new jobs will soon be coming to the town of Springfield.

That's because a Yankton-based company that makes tarps for use in agriculture, marine, railroad and construction industries, will soon be expanding to meet demand.

Shur-co will add a new Springfield plant in the next few weeks. It will add 20 new employees right away and could add 10 more next year.

The Shur-co. CEO says hiring will begin soon.
