Cows Come Home

By Associated Press

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The cows, or at least most of them, have come home.  Almost 300 Black Angus cows had gotten through a fence during Sundays blizzard from an area west of Agar, near the Potter-Sully County line. The cows, in groups of 10-20, headed south and southeast toward Onida.

Kris Rausch of M and R Ranch near Agar said searchers had found most of the cows by Monday night. The cows were reported to be in good shape.

Bob Rausch said most of them were spotted on both sides of Highway 83 and that about six people in pickups spent the day rounding up the wayward cattle.
