Another eagle shooting is under investigation in South Dakota.

This one involved a golden eagle that was shot northwest of Carpenter right after Christmas.

Federal and state wildlife agencies are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

The eagle was euthanized because of its injuries.

Also unsolved is the shooting of a bald eagle northwest of Tulare around Thanksgiving. That bird died after surgery.

Golden eagles and bald eagles are protected by state and federal law.
