One of two foster daughters raped by a former South Dakota lawmaker in a scheme over reproductive eggs has settled her federal lawsuit against him and his wife.

Jurors in Pierre convicted ex-state Rep. Ted Klaudt of  Walker on four counts of second-degree rape involving the girls at
his Pierre hotel suite.

He then pleaded guilty to two counts of witness tampering to avoid a second trial in Deadwood on charges he raped the same girls
in his home in Walker, and was sentenced to a total of 54 years in prison.

One of the girls - who's from Mandan, North Dakota - then sued Klaudt and his wife, Connie Klaudt, in federal court.

The case was settled Friday before a federal magistrate judge in Sioux Falls.
