For more than 50 years, McGreevy Clinic has provided care in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities. A brand new state of the art McGreevy Clinic Avera just opened in Southern Sioux Falls making it the 4th one in the city and the biggest to date.

The new McGreevy Clinic Avera at 69th and Western in Southern Sioux Falls is a unique and somewhat of a rare find as far as clinics go nationwide.  Gone is the big waiting room in the entryway, instead there are individual waiting rooms for each doctor to add more privacy for the patient. Dr. Andrea Miller is one of the four Family Practice Physicians here. She loves the design concept. She says it's like several clinics within a clinic.

Dr. Andrea Miller says "It's great for us as physicians. We have our patients right there in the waiting room. They come in to the exam room everything is close by so we are able to spend more time with the patient and taking care of the patient."  There are 6 pods, as they call them, and it's modeled after a car manufacturer.

Dr. Miller says, "It's based on the Korniluk Model and Toyota's Lean Model so that it will run efficiently and smoothly."

They have a digital X-Ray machine which means the pictures are all computerized, so as soon at the technician takes them, the doctor can look at them from their office. If Dr. Miller wanted to have a specialist at the Orthopedic Institute look at it they could simultaneously and talk about it over the phone. Dr. Miller says it all goes back to better patient care and less time in the waiting room. "It's much more of a calming relaxing environment. It almost has a spa like atmosphere to work in and to be a patient in," she adds.
