Holiday Stress Running Higher

By Associated Press

The economic mess may add to the stress that some people experience over the holidays.

Steve Lindquist with Avera McKennan's Behavioral Health Services in Sioux Falls says research shows more people seek mental health care during times of national anxiety and poor economies. He says it remains to be seen whether that will add to the stress load this year.

Lindquist says admissions usually increase in January and not during the holidays because people want to be around family and hope it will be positive.
