Minnesota health officials say 30 people have become sick from Salmonella.

By Associated Press

A national salmonella outbreak has reached Minnesota.

A Minnesota official says the state has had 30 cases.

Georgia and Ohio also have joined the list of states in the outbreak that's sent at least a dozen people to the hospital and
sickened nearly 400 people.

Federal health officials this week said 42 states have reported illnesses from the same type of salmonella bacteria.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is leading the investigation but has not yet released the list of states or
determined which foods were may have caused people to become sick.
