Flu Vaccines Won't Prevent Swine Flu

By Leslie Rupiper

For some time, people have been getting the "flu shot" to avoid being sick. But with the swine flu outbreak, we had questions about flu shots.

In our newsroom, we asked 'If I haven’t received a flu shot, is it too late, and would it help protect me from Swine Flu?'

For the answer, we got a hold of Novartis. That's a company that makes the flu vaccine. They tell Action News that this year’s vaccine will not protect you from this new outbreak of the swine flu.  There is a swine flu vaccine for pigs, but not one for humans.

However, both Tamiflu and Relenza have shown to decrease symptoms of the swine flu in those who’ve already been infected.

You might want to see who is heavily invested in compainies that make the anti-virals. Don't worry about the swine flu this one will be mild. Be aware of when it comes back in its more virulent form next flu season. That is when the weaponized genes will be expressed from the avian portion of the bug. Remember wearing gloves to clean wild birds two years ago? This is a lab created monster-thanks to the Army Bio labs. Anthrax anyone another Army Bio lab product released on us.

I just read the other night that the flu vaccine can help prevent the swine flu, but not always. Maybe we would create a pandemic if the facts were check not once, twice, but three times and not go to a single source.
