Despite Outbreak, Business As Usual At FSD

At various airports around the world, officials are taking precautions in light of the swine flu outbreak.

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport isn't one of them.

Action News spoke with airport deputy director Gary Messerli. He says they are not taking any special precautions as a result of the swine flu outbreak. Nothing has changed. Instead, he says, the airport is taking "a wait and see attitude" and no flights have canceled.

This isn't the first time the Sioux Falls Regional Airport was unaffected by a major epidemic. Messerli noted that the airport made no changes when SARS broke out in 2002.
